I know many different neighborhoods! I work mostly in San Francisco & Marin but if you check out my list of past sales, you’ll see that I have sold in many different Bay Area locations.
I am a Residential Transitional Specialist Moving You Across Bridges – I have almost 20 years of experience in moving clients from one home to another in different Bay Area locations, and I specialize in helping San Francisco sellers move either across the GG Bridge to Marin or over the Bay Bridge to the East Bay neighborhoods of Oakland/Berkeley & beyond. Most of my past sales have occurred in San Francisco, with my Marin county activity a close second, and then with additional sales up and down the Peninsula, north up towards Sonoma/Napa and east towards Walnut Creek or Pleasanton. I have lived in many different neighborhoods in all parts of our Bay Area and know my geography and inventory very well.
For Sellers – I am a property preparation expert with a wide network of service providers and vendors. A large percentage of my client base consists of out-of-area sellers who need extra help project managing the small details. I hold a “Seller’s Residential Specialist” designation, and I have extensive experience with getting properties ready for the open market. The remaining bulk of my seller clientele consists of referrals from past clients, and new clients who read my on-line reviews (click on icons at the bottom of the page for my Yelp/Zillow/Trulia reviews.)
For Buyers – I specialize in customized home searches, provide personalized attention & use my experience, tricks and tools to guide you through this fast-paced competitive atmosphere and help you craft a compelling offer. I have extensive knowledge of ‘coming soon’ & ‘off market listings’ and am especially savvy when it comes to helping buyers purchase units in newly constructed buildings; our brokerage gets invitations to all of the pre-sale private showing events at almost all of the new construction sales offices.

After working with Rebecca to purchase our condo in SF over three years ago, it seemed only natural that we would work with her again when we were looking to buy our first single family home. Even though our search was focused in Oakland this time, there was absolutely no hesitation; we knew Rebecca would represent us well. I started looking for an apartment in San Francisco in August. After a month an and half my first realtor wasn’t able to suggest any places that matched my needs. I was about to give up when a very good friend of mine told me that he found a place thanks to the help of Rebecca. I immediately contacted her and I explained what were my needs. The first selection of places that Rebecca sent to me had already many interesting options. My first offer for an apartment wasn’t successful but, another unit was free in the same building and with the experience of Rebecca I was able to win the bid and get that one. Rebecca sized the local market, we spoke about a fair price (which was the upper end of the range), and I also wanted a quick sale. After her marketing and three open houses in the first ten days on the market, we received an offer at exactly what I wanted from a very qualified buyer. She continued to market and had one last open house, received a back-up offer “just in case” at a higher price point, which gave me comfort. We recorded the close of escrow as scheduled. End-to-end, the entire process was only five and a half weeks. I would certainly recommend both Rebecca at Climb Real Estate and her colleague, Hillary – they are a good team.

Rebecca Brooks is an amazing, top notch Realtor. Her extensive experience really paid off when we found ourselves putting in an offer on an REO. She immediately found out important specifics about the property which revealed it would be difficult to get a loan for this property. The loan broker we were working with made the comment, ‘Your Realtor is really on top of things. If you worked with a less experienced Realtor, you could have wasted a lot of time and money. I had been looking for properties in San Francisco for about 6 months, it wasn’t until I found Rebecca Brooks online that I finally felt like I had someone on my side, working for me and my interests. In addition to her regular email notifications of properties that fit my criteria, Rebecca had an eye out for the details and nuances in which I was interested. She made an effort to pre-screen many places during brokers tours and was always prepared and well-informed when she would take me out to see properties.
On what would become the last day of our search, we walked through two properties that had potential, but I still didn’t feel certain. I asked if she was ever able to walk into a house with a client and say with certainty, “this is it.” With a mix of optimism and reality she let me know that it was indeed possible, but not necessarily often. As we walked into the third house of the day, we both new that this was it. With Rebecca’s advice, I put in an offer that day and it was accepted the following day.
This was my first home purchase, Rebecca walked me through the inspections process, all the while helpful and supportive. I had some specific issues with the status of the house on city records and Rebecca went above and beyond to negotiate with the city agencies to straighten out the situation. In the end I got the perfect house, with more of my desired features than I thought was possible, and for a great price.

Rebecca not only provided exceptional service and assistance whilst seeking a property and up to closing, but she also ensured that we never felt pressured into making decisions. She was always available and kept us constantly updated on progress throughout. We have purchased a number of homes and have never experienced this level of support during the stressful and always challenging purchase, closure and, now moving from abroad processes… Even after the deal closed she has continued to provide prompt and efficient assistance and support, well above what we have experienced previously when buying a home. Going into a real estate search knowing what you want and can afford isn’t enough. As a first time home buyer the journey one must go through to purchase a house is a seemingly overwhelming and sometimes daunting task. I don’t have a million bucks, and I was barely able to scrape together a down payment. What kind of ego do I have to call a Real Estate Agent and tell them that I want to buy a piece of property in San Francisco in my narrow price range?
Lucky for me Rebecca Brooks was kind enough to respond to my e-mail inquiry. Words do not properly communicate in this message the amount of gratitude and admiration I have for Rebecca. Her passion for her work, dedication to her client, and ability to execute outstanding action items in order to close a deal is unlike most professionals you meet in any industry. Rebecca did an outstanding job for us in finding a home in Sonoma. We lived out of the area, so Rebecca spent a great deal of time previewing houses and providing both positive comments and critiques. The comments were amazingly accurate and allowed us to focus on the homes we knew would be potential ‘fits.’ The previews included videos which showed both the general neighborhoods and the houses’ interiors and exteriors.
After we found the perfect house, Rebecca’s knowledge of the interminable paperwork involved, and her coordination with the lender, the title company and the sellers’ agent, made the closing process, if not enjoyable, at least quite hassle-free. We have recommended Rebecca to friends who are looking in Marin and Sonoma counties and will do so again.
Some say we were lucky to sell so quickly in this market; we think it was because our Realtor helped us make good choices!

Being first time home buyers, we required a lot of hand holding especially in a market as competitive as San Francisco’s. We were very lucky to have Rebecca as our agent through this journey. She always advised us wisely on our offers but never forced us into an uncomfortable situation. We were trying to buy as the market was skyrocketing. Rebecca saw the direction the market was heading, advised us when we naively misunderstood how quickly prices were rising, but didn’t push us beyond what we were ready for. A less patient agent would have needled us into making an offer beyond our budget, but she never did.
In an age where websites hold the promise of showing you all the real estate available, we were at times fool hearted enough to believe we could find a house on our own. But Rebecca’s knowledge and access found us a house that never appeared on any real estate websites. Her diligence and caring found us a better home than we could have hoped for at a price we didn’t think was possible.
Rebecca was always very loyal, and stuck with us through 12 offers. She coached us through offers on conservatorships and probate sales and more complex negotiations than we could have handled without her wisdom.
When we finally had an accepted offer, she proved to be a very skilled negotiator and even got us a credit on closing costs. Unheard of in this market! Overall, we could not have imagined going through this experience with anyone else other than Rebecca. We highly recommend her to anyone attempting to navigate SF real estate.
